It happened, folks.

This week at class, I stepped on the scales and there it was…

My 50 lbs weight loss staring right back at me. I HIT MY GOOOOOAAAAL!!!

I have no words to express how this feels right now.

This is 10 months of focus, determination and motivation.

It was worth every doughnut I did not eat. And more.

Starting weight: 13st 8lbs
Current weight: 10st exactly
Total weight loss: 3 stone and 8 lbs (50 lbs)
Height: 5′ 7″
Starting clothes size: 18
Current clothes size: 8/10 (USA 4/6)  << US sizing is SO much nicer!

 

I never, ever thought I could do this.

But, meal by meal, week by week, pound by pound… it all added up.

It added up to a whopping 50 lbs. Boom! Gone forever!

And trust me when I say that. Gone Forever. 

Losing weight is not difficult. What IS difficult, is living a life in a body that you do not love and being unhappy.

 

They way I’m feeling right now… I wish I could bottle that up and share with you all.

I only hope, perhaps, that if anyone reading this ever felt the same way as me, then maybe, I may just have inspired you to start your own journey.

    Wow, congratulations. You look amazing. You looked great before too but the happiness it gives you from within to have achieved your personal goal makes you look even greater! :-)

      I was SO unhappy before – and for YEARS, have said I wanted to lose weight. Finally, I did it and I couldn’t be happier!

    Congratulations! I am so so so pleased for you! Well done… I’m still where I was 4months ago and lacking in motivation.

    You are certainly an inspiration and come to think of it, when I’m sat eating a biscuit I do think of you… You are going to be what Spurs me on… But I just need to find my motivation first.

      Hey Emma! My wardrobe used to be a 70/30 divide. 30% being the clothes that fitted and 70% being stuff that was too small and I would ‘one day’ get back into. Well, that stuff had been there for YEARS! I cannot tell you the feeling of trying those clothes on and discovering they were now too big. All that time they had sat there!

      Oh those pictures are real alright… no fancy celeb photoshopping for me. That would have saved me a whole lotta work in the first place, right?!

    Natalie that is phenomenal and no words are as powerful as a before and after. The class that you go to – we don’t have that in Australia – what is it? We have weight watchers – is the program like that?

      Hi Michelle *waves*

      I go to a class called Slimming World, it’s very similar to Weight Watchers in that they have their own plan and weekly weigh in’s, etc.

      Having tried every diet in the past, incl. Weight Watchers, I can hands down say that Slimming World was the best for me!

      And you are so right. Losing weight is not just about the number on the scales – in my body AND my head, I feel like a completely different person. And that’s good – I love it!

      You know, at the beginning it DOES feel like a lifetime away. But meal-by-meal, pound-by-pound you will get there. Now at the other end of my journey, I look back and cannot believe how fast this year has gone.
