One year ago today I took the first step.
The first step to a new me.
The first Friday night in January 2014, I walked through the doors of my local Slimming World group and never looked back…
I remember it so well. It was a cold, wet miserable night; freezing cold and pouring with rain. I could so easily have stayed at home. I am so glad I did not.
My 2014 new year resolutions are my 2015 new year results!
One year.
One goal.
Over 4 stone lighter.
5 dress sizes smaller.
x1000 happier!
If you want to BE someone different, you have to DO something different.
When you want to make a change in your life, take a look at your obstacles. Many times, YOU are the biggest one. Get out of your own way!

One of the wonderful things I think about making these changes is that when it comes to New Year’s resolutions – you no longer think ‘I must do something about my weight this year’ – instead – you just get to keep on keeping on doing your healthy living thing and enjoying the results of your amazing work.
You must be so pleased you took that first step this time last year.

Hi Michelle,
Yes, Slimming World is similar to Weight Watchers in the sense that it is a weekly class, with a diet plan and weigh in. The plans differ slightly, but same concept. I’ve done both classes before and most definitely prefer Slimming World. I’ve NEVER had this much success with weight loss, ever!
