We’re half way there, folks! 25lbs gone!

Back in January, I set myself the goal of losing 50lbs this year, and I’ve just crossed the half way line.

Weight Loss Update

Starting weight: 13st 8lbs

Current weight: 11st 11lbs

Weight loss so far: 25 lbs

Starting clothes size: 18

Current clothes size: 14/16

Food cravings: freshly baked jam doughnut… just ain’t worth it.

Best moment of the week: putting on a pair of leggings to find them baggy :)

What I’m looking forward to: shopping for (small!) summer clothes.

Milestones: down another ‘stone’ number and half way to my goal.

Words of wisdom: never trade what you want most for what you want at the moment.


I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful Easter Sunday, however you choose to celebrate…

I thought I was being smart this year and told the kiddos they could fine me £1 if they caught me eating any chocolate.  My attempts at setting a deterrent were short-lived when my too-smart 7-year-old saw a money making opportunity with his weak-willed mama. Instead, I’m having temptation thrust at me every which way. Yikes!

Thankfully, these photos are keeping me on track. I know my weaknesses… chocolate is one of them. And it’s never *just one piece*. So, I’m not even going to go there. Damn you, Easter Bunny.

    Congratulations! That’s a huge drop in such a short time. Good for you! My best moments usually revolved around NSVs (Non-scale victories). A compliment, finding clothes to be too baggy, etc. Keep it up!

      Oh, NSV’s are awesome, too! I’ve had two people this week ask me if I’ve lost weight. Best. Feeling. EVER!

      Thank you, Trisha! What changed? I didn’t want to spend another summer feeling unhappy. I guess this time round, my head is in the zone and I am focused!

    Wow you’re doing so well! You must be so happy. Some very wise words you share here too! I need to find the motivation to get back to exercising as food isn’t a massive problem of mine (mostly down I intolerances thigh to be honest!!) good luck with the rest of your journey, you’re looking fab :)
