I can’t stop crying.
Last night, we made the most difficult decision to say “Sweet Dreams” to our darling boy, Connor.
Our hearts are broken.
Connor was coming up 14 years of age. He spent 9 wonderful years with us. 9 wonderful years packed full of memories.
The most placid, wonderful temperament you could ever wish for in a dog. So gentle, sweet and kind.
We knew he was getting older and eventually this day would come. His ailments a daily reminder of his years.
We tried to brace ourselves for the inevitable, but it didn’t work. We are heartbroken.
Goodbye my sweet darling boy.
Thank you for your unconditional love.
May you run free of pain at the Rainbow Bridge.
Sweet dreams.
Oh I’m so so sorry to read this. Many years ago now we lost our family dog, she too was 14 years old and I never remembered a day without her. We was all lost when she went.
((Massive hugs))
Thank you for your kind words. I’m sorry to hear you lost a beloved pet, too
So profoundly sorry for your loss. Dogs are “people” too in their own rights. And it is often sad when we have to make the decision to put them out of their misery. But then, their presence in our lives often keeps us out of our misery so in the end, we must do the same thing.
Thinking about you and Connor and keepipng your family in my prayers.
To Connor – “Good night Sweet Prince, Parting is such sweet sorrow”.
Carla, I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.
I sure know how this feels. It never gets easier…and no words can comfort it. I am so sorry for your loss.
