I have been blessed with the most amazing friends and family. Skype and Facetime are priceless inventions for staying connected, but when your nearest and dearest live in opposite corners of the world, it is no substitute for a real-life hug!
So when The National Lottery teamed up with BritMums to set bloggers a #Spend20k challenge, I already knew exactly what I would do.
I’d jump on a jet-plane!
First destination… Head west to Ontario, Canada
This is where Hubby’s sister / my sister-in-law lives. I know from photos that this is such a beautiful part of the world, yet sadly, we are yet to see it for ourselves. I would love to schedule a family trip to coincide with Canada Day or Thanksgiving and soak up the festivities. Oh, and yes, I did just totally invite myself over
Onwards… fly south to the Sunshine State
I’d go visit my long-time friend Francesca to celebrate her upcoming wedding. (Oh, and giiiirlll, she makes a white chocolate cheesecake to die for!). We would eat, drink, chat, eat more, drink more, chat more. We have so much catching up to do! And *squeee* she is getting MARRIED!
Still in Florida, I could not pass up the opportunity to see Lynsey (aka MoscatoMom!) Of course, we’d enjoy a nice cold glass of Moscato (or two) on Pensacola beach and she knows ALL the best places to eat in town. No doubt we’d be instagramming, tweeting and blogging the entire time!
Time to head East!
Next stop, Dubai. Oh how I love thee.
The final leg of my family & friend trip would be to visit my dearest childhood friend, Tamila, in Dubai. I love that girl and miss her so much!
Oh, and I would totally bring back one of these. They can’t be THAT expensive, can they?!
… and passports. Geez, you’d need to win the lottery to get those! Ours have all expired (it’s been that long since we’ve taken a trip abroad). Passports: 2 adults + 2 children, £237. Ouch!
Do we have any pennies spare?
Back home on British soil, Thomas is desperate to go to LegoLand! To see his face as he marvels all the exhibits would be priceless. But we’d need that #20k the moment he sees the gift shop. I’ve heard it’s amazing
What would you do if you won the lottery. How would you #Spend20k ?

PS. Did you know… the Lotto game is changing! From 5th October, players have more chances to win more prizes. Players will get £25 for matching 3 numbers in the draw (up from £10) and 4 numbers (from £60 to £100), and a new raffle guarantees at least 50 winners of £20,000 each draw! And the best bit? When the jackpot rolls, so does the raffle, meaning hundreds more guaranteed £20,000 prizes. Good luck!
