Oooh, look what I had for lunch today! A GORGEOUS plate full of fresh mango, strawberries and grapes.
So pretty and so colourful!
And very tasty.
It just looked so gorgeous I couldn’t resist snapping a couple of pics before gobbling the whole lot up!
Actually, I did pause momentarily to go grab a Mullerlight Lemon Cheesecake yoghurt from the fridge.
Oh. My. Goodness.
It was like one of those fancy fresh fruit desserts with dipping pots you get in restaurants. Ah-mazing!
After that lunch, I’m now feeling especially virtuous and hopeful that the scales with show positively for me tonight.
It’s weigh day, y’all!
Have a FANTABULOUS Friday! Have you made any great plans for the weekend?

]]>I can’t bear to throw away fresh fruit (it’s so expensive!) but neither my children, or myself, particularly like over-ripe fruit. One great way to use it up is in a fresh smoothie.
I bought this punnet of peaches just under a week ago and they weren’t quite ripe. I rested them to the side, then forgot about them. They may look okay, but actually, they were starting to turn. I reckon another day or two and they would have been all fuzzy!
To make a super-easy peach smoothie, you will need:
Peel and chop your peaches and toss into blender
Add an entire (small) carton of yoghurt.
This is a great task to let the kiddos help with and have fun making fresh, nutritious food!
Whizz on full-speed until blended and smooth.
Depending on your preference, you can also add a splash of milk or fresh orange juice to thin the consistency.
It was great to see Lauren enjoy it so much, too.
I even kept a little aside to freeze as ice pops… sneaking even more fresh fruit into their diet, cleverly disguised as a treat!
… oh, and whilst those coloured paper straws look fun, they were not a good idea with smoothies. They just went all mushy after a short while. Not good.
Do you eat smoothies?
